Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026
Flashback is designed to work locally. We do not require an account to take, edit, save, or share photos.
What Flashback accesses
- Camera: used when you take a photo or record a video clip.
- Microphone: used only when you record a video clip with audio.
- Photo Library: used when you import photos or save an edited result.
What stays on your device
Photos, videos, edits, album entries, camera preferences, and the optional local profile photo are stored on your device. Flashback processes photo looks locally. We do not operate an account system, cloud album, advertising system, analytics system, or tracking system in the iOS app.
Sharing and third-party services
When you choose iOS Share or save to Photos, the destination is controlled by you and the receiving service’s own privacy policy applies. The web preview may load a demonstration image from Unsplash; this preview behavior is separate from the native camera workflow.
Retention and deletion
There is no Flashback account or server-side photo copy to delete. You can remove album items inside the app, remove the optional local profile photo, or delete the app to remove its local storage. Photos already exported to Apple Photos or another service must be deleted there.
Children
Flashback is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest version.
